The signatories to the Water Forum Agreement committed their organizations to continued participation in the unique partnership that developed the landmark agreement.

Given the complexity of the issues, level of detail, number of stakeholder interests, the duration of the Agreement, and the changes that will inevitably occur between now and the year 2030, stakeholder representatives concluded that a mechanism must be created to ensure actual implementation of the Agreement over the next three decades.

The Water Forum Successor Effort (WFSE) was initiated to ensure implementation of the Agreement. The full “plenary,” which includes all signatories, meets throughout the year.
