Katherine Perkins, Staff Scientist, Water Forum
As a staff scientist at the Water Forum, Katherine Perkins provides technical and facilitation services for habitat management projects, public outreach efforts and groundwater sustainability planning. Kat manages the Cordova Creek restoration project and conducts annual aerial surveys of Chinook salmon spawning in the lower American River. She also writes grants and performs field work.
Kat joined the Water Forum team three years ago as a fellow with the Local Government Commission’s CivicSpark AmeriCorps program, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture from UC Davis.
