Lauren Groves, Analyst

Lauren Groves joined the Water Forum in October 2021.

Lauren Groves has nearly 15 years of experience in state and local government administration. She joined the City of Sacramento in 2016 as part of the Client Services & Business Relations team with SacPark, where she worked to build efficient systems and strong relationships with local businesses during the City’s fastest growth period as the Golden 1 Center opened in Downtown Sacramento.

She later moved to the city’s Office of Emergency Management where she was vital in coordinating preparedness training, events, onboarding EOC members, and assuming leadership roles in assistance to the city’s response to declared and undeclared emergencies, ranging from storms, shelters, protests, civil unrest, and pandemic resource logistics.  (She is trained to drive an emergency vehicle and a forklift!)

Lauren previously worked for the California Department of General Services, in fleet & asset management, starting in 2007; and at the California Department of Public Health, in the Center for Infectious Diseases, where she earned a PHAME award for her commitment to serving above and beyond during a time of need.  She is also a licensed Pharmacy Technician, Real Estate assistant, writer, Emergency Medical Responder, business advisor, and continues her avid interest in biochemistry, anthropology, and health research.

In her new role, Lauren manages the Water Forum’s funding, grants, contractors, budgets, personnel, and works to update and streamline information-tracking processes.
